Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I need a visa to enter the country?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the purpose of your visit. Please consult our Visa-Exempt Countries list or use our online eligibility checker.
2. How long before my travel date should I apply?
We strongly recommend submitting your application at least 4 to 6 weeks before your intended departure to allow for processing and any unforeseen delays.
3. What is the minimum passport validity required?
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned date of departure from the country.
4. What are the mandatory documents for all visa types?
Standard requirements include a completed application form, a valid passport, recent photographs, travel medical insurance, and proof of financial means (e.g., bank statements).
5. How much is the visa fee, and is it refundable?
While a flight itinerary or reservation is often required, we strongly advise against purchasing non-refundable tickets until your visa has been officially approved.
6. Is a flight booking required before the visa is issued?
Fees vary by visa category. Please note that all visa fees are non-refundable, as they cover the administrative cost of processing the application, regardless of the outcome.
7. Do I need to attend an interview?
Most first-time applicants are required to attend an in-person interview and provide biometric data (fingerprints). You will be notified of your appointment date after submitting your online form.
US UK only
8. How long does the visa processing take?
The standard processing time is 10 to 15 business days. However, some cases may require additional administrative processing which can take longer.
9. Can I track the status of my application?
Yes. Once your application is submitted, you can track its progress through our Online Tracking Portal using your reference number and date of birth.
10. What is the difference between Single-Entry and Multiple-Entry visas?
A Single-Entry visa expires the moment you leave the country. A Multiple-Entry visa allows you to enter and exit several times within the visa’s validity period.
11. What should I do if my visa application is denied?
If denied, you will receive a formal letter outlining the reasons. You may have the right to appeal the decision or submit a new application once the grounds for refusal have been addressed.
12. Does a valid visa guarantee entry into the country?
No. A visa only allows you to travel to a port of entry. The final decision to grant entry rests with the Immigration Officer at the border.
13. Can I work while on a Tourist Visa?
Strictly no. Engaging in any form of employment while on a tourist visa is a violation of immigration law and may lead to deportation and future entry bans.
14. Can I extend my visa while I am in the country?
Visa extensions are only granted under exceptional circumstances. You must apply at the Immigration Office at least 7 days before your current visa expires.
15. What happens if I lose my passport with a valid visa in it?
You must report the loss to the local police immediately. To replace the visa, you will need to apply for a "Visa Transfer" or a new visa using your new passport.
